Polka Dot Playtime

Tuesday, September 17, 2013

Hi there! It's just been a weird sort of week so far! I had parts of an entry ready to go for Sunday but then my blog schedule was interrupted when there was a fire in my building and we were evacuated. I read AFTERWARD that since my building is so large it wasn't actually necessary for all of us to leave, but when I heard constant footsteps pounding in the stairwell, and my boyfriend looked out on the balcony and alerted me to the black smoke, I decided it was a good call to leave (if I had known I couldn't come back to my building for almost 3 hours, I might have taken my chances and stayed!) Of course, since all my blogs are different themes for each day, I had to scrap that entry. What was I thinking setting it up that way?

But onto my scores this week!

I've never been one to do my nails but maybe it's because all the manicure kits of today are totally boring. Maybe I just needed something like this to spark my interest! Well, hope you all find your own treasures this week! Talk soon!

    1. For sure! Crinolines are usually expensive but I spotted this one at Value Village around Hallowe'en time and I scooped it up. I used it for my whore wench costume and have used it for many purposes since. I always use my Hallowe'en costumes for daily wear, don't ya know!

  2. Oh i love the apple necklace! Indeed, it's adorable! I love seeing it on someone. And crenolines are always so cute - but I can never luck into finding a cheap good one like you did.

    1. The apple necklace is totally worth the price! It has a good weight to it and is really solid. It falls a little lower on the chest (there's pictures on the reviews showing where it actually falls) but the chain is pretty thin so it kind of just blends in when wrapped around your neck :) Thanks for popping by my blog! :D
